  15. concert pianists and teachers; in Guilford, Vt. A skilled
  16. technician, he hailed from the Viennese tradition that mingled
  17. the instrument's classical and romantic styles. In 1950 he
  18. helped found the Marlboro Music Festival in Vermont as a summer
  19. workshop for young and experienced musicians to play together.
